Open Print Exchange – International Print Exhibition
From 7–26 June 2025, the international exhibition Open Print Exchange was presented at De Gelderlandfabriek in Culemborg. This global art exchange showcased miniature print works by artists from around the world. Artist-in-residence, participant, and curator Ellen (Stadslab de Blauwe Leeuw) was present with demonstrations and workshops. Visitors could view and purchase artworks on site.
The exhibition is part of the Open Press Project, where artists create a limited edition of 10 prints using a 3D-printed press—one exhibited, the others exchanged worldwide.

Summer Exhibition: TUSSENRUIMTE (In-Between Space)
27 June – 30 August | Pop-up Exhibition – Artist in Residence Results
Tussenruimte explores the physical and mental space in between: between workshops, makers, materials, and moments. Created during Ellen’s residency at De Fabriekers and Una Volta, the work is made from reclaimed materials and traces of labor—objects that reveal beauty in use, time, and transformation.
The exhibition presents objects and compositions born from encounter, process, and impermanence.
Pop-up Atelier & Déjeuner
From 8–20 July, Stadslab de Blauwe Leeuw, with Ellen as Artist in Residence, worked on the estate of CulSec, Hameau food garden, and Fruitslagers.
On 19 & 20 July, the residency concluded with a post-residence pop-up exhibition showcasing the results of this creative collaboration.
